About the Center for International Education
We bring the world to NAU so our students can become better global citizens.
Our Center for International Education is responsible for making sure the university meets and exceeds its global goals as outlined by the strategic plan, including:
- Strengthening the academic infrastructure for international education
- Supporting faculty development opportunities through international teaching and research
- Developing and nurturing relationships with partner universities and organizations abroad
- Recruiting and admitting international students
- Providing a variety of services to international students and scholars
- Supporting NAU students interested in study abroad opportunities
We take our commitment seriously. We’re proud to have won the 2012 Senator Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization—a national honor bestowed on no more than five institutions each year—as well as the 2017 Andrew Heiskell Award for Innovation in International Education.
Committed to your success
Led by world-class professors, our 158 undergraduate and graduate degree programs across eight colleges, will let you explore more than an academic program—you’ll find your passion for life. We also offer the Program in Intensive English, to prepare international students for academic success at NAU.
Beginning with our International Student Orientation, you’ll find an active social scene filled with all kinds of events and you’ll be able to join one of our 300 student clubs and organizations.
Our advisors are here to help you transition easily. We can answer any questions about course schedules, housing, international documents and visas, and scholarships.
There’s no place quite like Flagstaff. It was named sixth happiest city in America, and with all four seasons, the cleanest air in the country, and the best spots for stargazing, Flagstaff is the ideal place to learn and grow.
“I knew from the start that the BBA program was right for me. I enjoyed the small classes and relationships that were developed over my two years in the program. It was extremely important to me that questions were encouraged and help was always available. This program allowed me to picture myself in actual business scenarios and have an opportunity to see how I would handle them. I am excited and feel prepared to enter the real world and apply everything I’ve learned at NAU. “
